故事发生在渔港石澳海滩，在这个小渔村，有许多形似女人的石头，被称为情人石，传说是那些盼望情人归来的少女所化。林金水的女儿秋子（郑佩佩饰）与苏大贵（龚稼农饰）一直都是青梅竹马，长大后，两人之间产生了深厚的感情。然而，大学生秦宇在渔港偶然遇到秋子，暗中爱上了她，并最终决定留在这个渔村。同时，渔港的另一位女孩曾阿凤（文玲饰）却爱上了大贵。这使得四个人之间产生了复杂的感情关系和纠葛。在经历了种种波折后，最终大贵与阿凤、秦宇与秋子走到了一起，形成了两对情侣。然而，故事的情节却突然发生了转折，当大贵和秦宇一同出海后，他们再也没有回来。。White Lies is described as an “urgent exploration of race and privilege, inequality and identity.” Set in the wealthy neighbourhood of Bishopscourt, Cape Town, the series is described as following investigative journalist Edie Hansen (Dormer) as she gets caught up in the ugly underbelly that lies beneath the picturesque beauty of the city, dragging her back to a turbulent past....。
