１９４５年５月。西部帝国大学医学部・助教授の鳥居太一（妻夫木聡）は、教授の指示のもと、米兵捕虜の手術を手伝うが、それは人体実験手術であった。教授に恐ろしい手術の中止を進言するが、却下され、８名の捕虜が死亡。戦犯裁判で死刑判決を受けた太一は、凶行を止められなかった自分と向き合うことになる。。The film was written and directed by Stuart Urban, and commissioned to mark the tenth anniversary of the Falklands War. The film was closely based on the historical record, and all of the major incidents portrayed were drawn from contemporary accounts by those who took part. Filming took place on the Falkland Islands and at Ealing Studios. Urban is a fluent Spanish-speaker, and plays an uncredited role as the Argentine radio operator.。
