A mysterious nomad known as the "Artist" practices a dark art form passed down through the generations.。成長於80年代的阿富汗，街童本來以賣黃牛戲票為生。被送到孤兒院後，自由自在的生活頓時變得複雜，但遇上三位投契的室友卻令人生添上不少色彩。少年們幻想自己身處波里活歌舞片的情節中，一邊唱歌跳舞，一邊把壞蛋打到落花流水。孤兒們更有機會遠渡蘇聯，參加夏令營。雖然要接受愛黨教育，但眾人亦在旅程中體驗少年的成長味。可是，殘酷的現實很快便追上不幸的孩子。也許活在蘇聯的統治下，並不是最壞的景況。但要在亂世中勇敢生存，又談何容易？。Would you fall in love with a person whose voice you haven't heard for months, whose face you haven't touched, you can't smell, you don't even have the chance to pass by the same street, you can't even be in the same photo, who is miles away from you, even by seas, islands and cities。
